whew!  I have never done one of these Vlog things before...basically, a video blog...and this one is for a link-up that Erin and Ashley are hosting...


I typically try not to record my voice since I think it sounds ridiculous on tape...maybe in person too...eek!  but this seemed like too much fun not to join in...so here goes!  also, it forced me to take a shower...thanks hurricane for lack of motivation to shower :)

a little about me...and 3 things I can't get through the day without!

also, this was my first and only take...I am a bit of a perfectionist, so if I kept re-doing it...you'd never see it...it was much harder then I thought it would be to get the right angle so my makeup didn't look weird...which I still think it did...but whatever :)  I only have two ends of the house with windows...so the light is always weird...I deal with it, so you can too ;)

okay...somehow I forgot to post this last weekend...I'm a week behind...oops!

What was your favorite trip/vacation/activity this summer?
 I think my favorite summer trip was down to NC to see Mike and Bean...and little Pedro :)  road trip with Pan & Bob...beach, good food, lots o sleep :)  good times!

my favorite activity hands down, was playing on a softball team- I had no idea how much I missed playing, or how much fun it would be as an adult :)  I am really happy I got back into it, and can't wait to play again next summer!

Favorite outfit look of the summer/clothing item?
 I spent most of the summer either in my bathing suit, or workout clothes...but I lurrrrrved this new dress: (I am in the middle :) - also the only one wearing a dress...)

What is one thing you wish you had gotten to do this summer?
get my house totally organized.  for some reason I thought it was enough time to get it all done...top to bottom, so that when school started I would be a calm, confident, organized person...not stressing about cleaning, or finding things...but yeah, that did not happen...

indirectly related (okay, not at all...) I had a super fun summer, saw lots of people, had I will hopefully have cold winter days and nights when we are snowed in (please, pretty please!!) to get stuff done around the house...maybe ;)

Favorite Song of the Summer?
gosh...I listen to the actual radio like 1% of the time I am in the car...so this isn't an easy answer...

although I have been rocking out to Pandora, and finding some new music that I might not ever have found other wise :)  this is one I really liked...a perfect song for summer...Jake Owen, Barefoot Blue Jean Night...yup, the girl from Jersey likes country music ;)

Favorite movie/tv show of the summer?
I know we are wayyyyyyyy behind the times...but we finally this summer got into watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia...thanks Netflix for that!  I think we're up to season 4...and it is just so ridiculous...definitely a good Friday night watch when you've had a long week :)

okay...summer is over...by work standards...not by the actual calendar...who else thinks September 1st should officially mark the start of fall?  and by those standards...cool weather?

ME ME ME!  I am so done with sweating...I want to wear long sleeved shirts and drink hot coffee...

bring it fall.  BRING IT!

1.  What is the first website you log onto each day?
I leave Gmail open all the time...so by default that is the first...but besides that it's probably weather.com


2.  Give us some funny websites you visit that we need to know about:
They aren't super original, but these are a few that make me giggle :)

3.  Pinterest or Facebook?  Why?
oh, definitely Pinterest...I use both...but Facebook has the tendency to make me go "uhhhhhhhhhhh too much over-sharing!!"  I used to like to see what people were up to...but now it just feels like I'm sort of stalking people I wouldn't naturally know things about...

but Pinterest...oh, that is one of my biggest time wasters these days :)  the recipes, the DIY projects, the decorating ideas and the lesson plans!  now if only there were time to do all the things...


4.  Twitter or Instagram?  Why?
again, I use both of these...I really like Instagram, but I tend to forget to check it...while Twitter is always open via TweetDeck on my computer screen, so I just scroll through it every once and a while...I think I post more to Twitter...but now I'm linking the two


5.  Favorite youtube video...post it!

wow, this was tougher than I thought...to pick a favorite..but I've always liked this one...if you have a cat like mine...this is how every morning goes :)



6.  Biggest online pet peeve?
again, I guess it goes back to Facebook...just too much information being shared and oh, don't get me started when there are big political debates on Facebook...it's just weird, having an argument for everyone to see?  I like to keep that stuff to myself :p

oh, also...when I click on a Pin, and it doesn't go back to the actual source...if you're going to pin something...take the time to make sure it works!
