I finally finished my sketchbook.

fiiiiinally.

when that happy little email graced my inbox, i was so excited to know that even though i was a super slacker, i could still send my sketchbook in!

Illustration Friday - Lonely

so this topic was from 2 weeks ago I think...and wouldn't ya know...I sketched it...but never finished it...and subsequently (ooh big word!) never posted it.


but I didn't want to deprive your lovely eyes from seeing it ;)  so here you go!!

not sure how exactly my mind works...but this was my first brainstorm for Lonely...so I went with it...debating whether the peanut butter jar should look more empty...like with "x's" for eyes...or is that too morbid?

guess I should start watermarking these gems of ideas I have ;)

Illustration Friday- CARRY

I was so productive, and ahead of the game, that I had drawn my Illustration Friday for this past week over the weekend...and then what happened?  I forgot to submit it!  sheesh!  oh well :)  I will just share it with you, my lovely readers :)

when I saw the theme of "carry,"  the first thing that popped into my head was the poem by e.e. cummings, so that's what I drew...in the car...in a notebook...not my sketchbook...not sure why I'm choosing to draw there recently...maybe it's because if I make a 'mistake'...it's not in my REAL sketchbook...I'm weird...I know ;)  someday I will make a more finished, and polished version of this drawing...but until then...enjoy!!

21 day challenge...days 25 & 26!

I've been so all over the place lately...that I sort of hit the wall on the last two days, but hey, I went 5 extra days for the challenge, so I'm not really that upset with myself...

Z was pretty bad...I could only think of zebra...and I realized, I need to figure out how I want to draw them...after a few failed attempts...I let it go :p

on to the next 21 day challenge! probably will start that after I finish moving :P

day 23...the letter W...I was a little tired, and not up for the challenge of drawing an actual witch...anything people-like are not my favorite things to draw :p so it's just a witches hat :)

21 day challenge

I came across a few blogs where people were challenging themselves to draw something, anything every day, for 21 days...so I decided that I'd start on Monday (yesterday) and get myself on the right track, and to keep a creative mindset at all times...

so when I sat down to think about what I'd do first, I thought of the letter A...so I think my challenge, will be 26 days, to do a series of drawings for every letter of the alphabet...so here goes...day 1- the letter A

what I did today...

not much, not going to lie...it was a slow day at work, so while I was bored, I decided to do a little post-it sketch of a picture of my kitties that I have on my desk :p
