SNOW!!

for the 4th time in one week!  I love me some snow :)

I went to the gym this morning- to kick start my "get-healthy in 2013" resolution (that I started at home last week) and it was flurrying lightly.  when I got into my car after yoga, this is what it looked like :)

WORK!

yup, I spent all day yesterday photographing new jewelry to put in the shop...of course I started too late and lost the good light...so there will be more of that happening today...


and HW for grad school...

oh, and I took a nap.



*somebody* got stuck in Ohio for work until Tuesday now...so since I had no one to cook for...well besides myself...I took a nice long nap.




but I think I bruised my vocal cords in school this week...the kids are getting louder the closer we get to the holidays...not a fan of that...so that, combined with a stomach bug that is going around...today I am not talking.



we'll see how that goes.

so I definitely didn't mind getting not nearly enough sleep before class today to go to the new Ram's Head live last night to see Go Go Gadget...they are now on my list of bands to stalk and go see whenever they play close enough to home :)

glitter, glitter, everywhere!

it's late (9:30...yup, that's late for me now...)  so just a quick photo that I took today...

for some reason, I thought it would be fun to take some pictures using glitter...throwing it in the air, etc...so now that I am still covered in glitter...and probably will for a couple of days...here was my favorite one from today...this would definitely be a two person photo shoot...if only I wasn't so impatient :p

wouldn't ya know...Friday happy hour (which turned into happy hourS) included a visit from the Raven's cheerleaders...we got t-shirts, bracelets, bottle openers, key chains, coozies, bead necklaces...and were entered into a raffle to win tickets to Monday nights game- that reminds me...get home early on Monday...football traffic is the WORST.

but it was a fun surprise, and getting free stuff is always cool...even if they are my #2 team :)  (don't worry Giants...you are still #1)

and yes, my eyes are always closed in pictures...



especially after walking 3 miles home in 90+ degree heat after my car over heated on the way home.



AGAIN.


ugh.


anyway...it's the weekend :)  and today is day 1 of grad school!  more on that later :)

no, not really...but I thought I'd share some photos today from when my brother, who I affectionately call "Brother" came to visit me back at the very end of July...we had a fun day...went to the aquarium, saw some crazy big sharks- which I realize are probably pretty small in comparison to sharks you'd see in the ocean, but to me, a shark is a shark...

a crazy octopus...did you know, that they are super smart?  the people at the aquarium will put their food in different jars with lids, to keep the octopus engaged...and they figure it out all the time!

and one of the many sharks, very slowly lurking in the shark tank...

we got frozen yogurt, Brother got his fix of Baltimore seafood, and many episodes of Adventure Time were watched :)  good, quality brother-sister bonding time before he starts his big important job in just a few weeks!

back in January when I made a trip home to NJ...I stopped and visited with my Uncle and cousins :)

and to my surprise and delight...Uncle Denis pulled out this penguin poster that I had made him for Christmas...oh probably about 20+ years ago!  back when we made all our gifts...my neighbor/honorary sister Dana and I would start in August, and work tirelessly until we had handmade a gift for everyone in our family...not always the most practical or the best quality...but obviously full of sentiment, if they're still around all these years later :)
