Illustration Friday - Fortune

I am ahead of the game this week...well actually if I didn't get this done today...I probably wouldn't have had time...so here is my submission for the theme: Fortune...first thought into my mind was find the chinese symbol...and this one stands for Good Fortune...or at least that's what they tell me!

color theory project

we had to make color wheels for class this week...with actual paints! it was a lot harder than I thought it would be...but I think it came out pretty good!


and then the coolest thing happened when I was cleaning out my paint tray...my sink was it's own work of art! It might not seem as cool to everyone else...but I thought it was pretty awesome :)

Illustration Friday - Green

I tried something new this week...I did my submission for this week's Illustration Friday theme the way I always have, drawn and colored with ink...but then I also created it in Adobe Illustrator, since I'm finally learning how to use it-yay! I've attached both :)

Happy 60th to Biker Bob!

Spent the weekend of 3/24 in Vermont skiing at Sugarbush for the Brett's dad's 60th birthday :) good times were had by all! We even got snow, and I took a snowboarding lesson...still can't feel my legs!

100,000 miles

happy 100,000 to my Jetta :) a great car, with only some minor issues...no serious accidents and lots of fun road trips...here's to 100,000 more...seriously...I can't afford a new car anytime soon :) love you Jetta!

Illustration Friday - Gravity

okay, so this is a week late...but I wanted to post it anyway :)

for the topic of Gravity...do a feather and a bowling ball fall at the same speed? I thought they did...but after doing some research I might be wrong...oh well!

My Final Project: Drawing

Took me 6 hours, but I finally finished my final project for my drawing course! I wish the scans looked as nice as the actual drawing...but I attached it so everyone I've complained to while finishing it, can see how it turned out :)



now it's time to make a cup of tea, and sit on my couch and watch the snow fall :)

Illustration Friday - Sprout

When I saw this week's topic, my first thought was not of bean sprouts, but of my cousin's cat...he originally had another name (leo) but was always "sprouting" up out of nowhere, so he became, sprout instead :)

So between school, work, and Jennie's wedding festivities, I haven't had any time to play around on my blog...hopefully I'll have more free time soon! I just wanted to say another congrats to the happy couple (hope you're having a fabulous time in St Lucia this week!!)

1. I have over 100 pairs of shoes

2. I always have to keep the t.v. volume at even numbers...14 or 16...but not 15 :)

3. I could eat soup every day if I had to

4. I wish I could live in Christmastown (a la the Nightmare Before Christmas)

5. I have way too many hobbies...knitting, jewelry making, scrapbooking, photography, drawing, writing, cooking...and I usually can't focus on just one at a time!

6. I have my closets organized by color...I love color :)
