on the road again...

this summer has been the summer of the road trip...which has been tons of fun, but also means it has flown by in such a blur!

the latest installment of road trip summer...back to North Carolina, this time to Raleigh to see Mike and Christina...and their new house...and the growing baby bump!  (who they, and now we, lovingly call Pedro :)  

even with the almost 7 hour ride from VA to NC with Amanda and Bob...the trip was a blast- I don't remember the last time I laughed so much, so hard, or so continuously :)  it really reminds me of why we are still the great friends that we are...with all the time that passes...we get together and it's as if we just saw each other yesterday :)

shopping...a trip to the beach...sitting out on the porch at night drinking wine by the fire pit...good times :)

let's go...skiing!

so it might seem like the winter season is over...but we have our annual Vermont family ski trip planned and I am getting really excited!  I love the freshness in the air, the beautiful scenery and the laid back atmosphere of the little mountain town around Sugarbush Ski Resort!

here are some of the things I would take with me on this trip...

I found these on Uncommon Goods, and they just made me laugh- I'm not usually one who checks my bag- I pack strategically, and usually don't need more then a small suitcase and my carry-on bag, but if I was going to...these would lighten my mood about the situation

I would also need to have some pretty warm socks....my feet are usually the only part of me that gets cold, as well as the fact that ski boots hurt my legs- no matter the size - so extra padding can only help!  these cute snowflake leg warmers should keep the snow out of my boots, and keep my legs warm and dry! 

and no day on the slopes would be complete, without a before dinner snack of delicious Vermont cheese and some cocktails!  which would look lovely on this fused glass dish by Sweety Bull Glass!

and I know this isn't something I need to bring with me...but how cute are sledding penguins??

ahhhhhhh!  going to NYC for Bust Magazine's Craftacular on the 12th of December!!

3rd Annual trip to TX!

my yearly visit to see the Borchers crew in Houston this year came in April...and we finally had some warm weather!  I was really excited to see my old roomie, and to see how big Hunter and Haley had gotten in the last year...and they were walking and talking!!

it's always nice to see Liz and the rest of her family, because it's like no time has passed since our last visit...and we even did a family photo shoot in a field of Texas Bluebonnet flowers!  I would love to make the trip more often, and am searching for some shows in that area so I can make some business trips and see some of my favorite little people!

Wedding Marathon 2 of 4...Dallas here we come!

let the month-long wedding extravaganza continue! we headed to Dallas next for Brett's best man debut at Paul and Rachel's wedding!

Congratulations to Mr & Mrs Simonini :) Kristin and Jon got married this weekend in Boston at the Museum of Science...one of the nicest views I've ever seen!



























We also met the newest addition to this side of the family...little Caden...so another congrats goes out to Laurel & Michael!

swinging sixties

talk about a whirlwind of fun...this weekend was over before it started (at least it felt that way)

friday night we arrived in orlando after a 45 minute delay...got in our rental car and drove the extra 75 miles to New Smyrna Beach...to a fabulous beach house...

saturday we partied it up sixties style to celebrate Jo's 60th birthday, as well as her retirement...games galore, beautiful beach weather...you really couldn't ask for more...well except maybe to stay longer :P































my favorite gift...the day of the week clock...'when the day is more important then the time'

Atlantic City Baby

this past weekend, we went to Atlantic City with Bonnie and Andy...I was supposed to be moving, so why not take an impromptu vacation with your best friends :) it was nice to get away, spend some time on the beach and gamble away just a little money...
