it certainly was Super!

okay, before I start this, remember...I am a Giants fan, through and through.  always have been.  always will be. 


but it was pretty cool to watch the Ravens win last night.  we could hear fireworks going off around our house, and even though they really made us "wait for it..." they pulled off a very nice win.


we watched the game with Bonnie & Andy...made lots of yummy snacks...and I only covered my eyes a few times.

wasn't super impressed by many commercials- I can't even really think of one off the top of my head to tell you the truth.  but i will say this...the city was mighty purple today, and i am happy to have tomorrow off because i hear there is some sort of parade happening ;)

also, i know it makes me sound old...but very glad we were not out watching the game last night- this is a picture from the news of Federal Hill...

Ravens Pandemonium

holy excitement!

even though it's hard for me to route for anyone else...it was pretty exciting to watch the city of Baltimore erupt into mayhem and cheers for the Ravens tonight...


it is going to be a crazy Super Bowl weekend...that is for sure!!

whew.  that was a close one.  we just squeaked out a victory yesterday.  and as a Tech fan, it really is one of our most important games of the year...especially in a year when we haven't had much else to cheer for.

wouldn't ya know...Friday happy hour (which turned into happy hourS) included a visit from the Raven's cheerleaders...we got t-shirts, bracelets, bottle openers, key chains, coozies, bead necklaces...and were entered into a raffle to win tickets to Monday nights game- that reminds me...get home early on Monday...football traffic is the WORST.

but it was a fun surprise, and getting free stuff is always cool...even if they are my #2 team :)  (don't worry Giants...you are still #1)

and yes, my eyes are always closed in pictures...



especially after walking 3 miles home in 90+ degree heat after my car over heated on the way home.

ugh.


anyway...it's the weekend :)  and today is day 1 of grad school!  more on that later :)

this means war!

okay, not war exactly...but tonight is the night that always tests my relationship...not as much now as it did a few years ago...but it is the Virginia Tech vs Georgia Tech game...my school vs his...Tech vs Tech...

usually a very tense evening, but tonight we eat tacos, and watch the game...



who will be happy?  let's hope it's me ;)

weekend o' fun

this weekend we got to play host to Bob & Jo, and got to take them around Baltimore, show them some good food, and good fun :p














we started the weekend off with drinks and crabs at Nicks Fish House, which I guess I'd say is a local place...tucked away in a secret locale :p
























Sunday we did brunch at the Bay Cafe, where Jo was sporting a JerseyGirlDesign original necklace and earrings set ;)

















and the highlight of the weekend...going to my first Ravens game! they won...and it was the perfect way to end the weekend :)















oh and the Giants and Hokies won too...

I just finished watching a VH1 special...of the 100 greatest songs of the 90's...and our VT football anthem, Enter Sandman by Metallica was #18 on the list....

SUPER Bowl

another super belated post...but hooray for my NY Giants winning the super bowl!! I just about died watching the game...but I am sooooooo glad we made it back in time from Vermont to catch the game live :)

Virginia Tech or Bust :)

I never really understood that saying, but we are only a few short hours away from our trip to VT this weekend for opening game!! (on ESPN 12 noon Saturday, September 1st!!)

It's been just about a year since I've been back, and I could not be more excited to be going to one of my favorite places in the world today...there really is no place like it...Hokie Hokie Hokie Hi, Tech Tech VPI!
